WHY KARYANITI EXISTS
A simpler way to search Nepal Supreme Court cases
Finding a case should start with a search, not a struggle with keyboards, slow pages, or unclear results.
NKP is the official source, but its search expects Nepali Unicode input. That is difficult when you normally type Nepali in Roman letters, such as samandha biched.
Karyaniti makes that first search easier.
Type naturally
You can type Romanized Nepali with a regular English keyboard. Karyaniti shows the Devanagari preview as you type, so you can check the conversion before searching.
You can also switch to Nepali mode and type Unicode directly. Common spellings such as samandha and sambandha, or biched and bichhed, are supported.
Find the important part faster
Karyaniti searches a local index of 10,327 cases. Results show:
- the case type and decision number
- the case subject when available
- the matching passage with highlighted terms
- the full case text
- a link to the official NKP record
You can also filter by case type or browse recent cases. Opening a result takes you to the first matching passage instead of making you search through the whole document again.
A faster first step, not a replacement for NKP
Karyaniti helps you discover and inspect cases quickly. NKP remains the source to verify the original record.
The project also keeps cases that do not fit an existing category under Unmapped instead of dropping them.
The goal is simple: make legal research easier to start, easier to understand, and easier to verify.
